Radio advert –

-          [Drink pouring]

“Enjoying a drink with your mates?”

“One out on the town?”

-          [Glasses clicking]

Well did you know alcohol is the most accessible substance yet the most misused?

Or maybe that alcohol is a major risk factor for cancer and weakening the immune system?

 Fancy another?

-          [Pause / sound effects]

Stop destroying your health for one more

Think!  better health.

This is what I have done for my radio advertisement, I wanted to add detailed statistics to my advertisement to make sure people as well as my target audience know the dangers of the topics I have focused on are very unhealthy and dangerous to the body and mind. I have also added diegetic sound effects in such as glasses clinking and background bar noise to make the noises seem familiar so that the audience can relate to the scenario and imagine themselves in the radio. I will be representing the voice over during the advertisement as well explaining my ideas. I wanted to make sure it was relatable so that I could use shock tactics to help them quickly understand what they have done is dangerous and can affect them. I felt like this was important as smoking and alcohol can affect the body from a young age and I would like to prevent that, and I feel like a radio advert can be listened to on multiple platforms such as Spotify, social media as well as in cars and transport services. I felt like I used persuasive language such as “think better health” telling them to think about what has been said as it could help them, as well as this I will use emotive language to try and engage my audience. I will also explain the place they can visit for more info. I would like to create an active audience that have their own thoughts and opinions on my idea, through demographics and the codes and conventions of my advert.
